Bronze, Verdigris patination

This work has been made using recycled timber using an axe and a tomahawk. Both these tools allow for a direct and immediate mark making, as if drawing. This method of working leaves a rough, raw and incisive mark. The work has been taken from this point of fragility and cast into the permanency of bronze.
This juxtaposition of vulnerability and strength are what interests me in this work.
