Alexandra Mills works in both 2D and 3D media often combining drawing with materials such as wire, timber and textiles and reusing found materials to evoke the character of subject matter. Recent projects have been research-based bodies of work based on museum collections, historic sites, and family artefacts. Her current work, attempts to capture vegetation of coastal Sydney, such as the banksia, in repurposed materials.

Alexandra Mills is a Sydney-based artist with Bachelor of Fine Art and Master of Fine Art degrees from the National Art School, Sydney.
Since graduating she has had two solo exhibitions, has participated in several curated and invited group exhibitions and held studio residencies at the Northern Beaches Council’s Creative Space, Q Station and currently at North Sydney Council's Ridge St Studios.
Her work is held in the collection of the National Art School as well as private collections in Australia, the United Kingdom and the USA.
